Jane Tara is a bestselling author, and travel writer. Jane knows family travel. She has lived and travelled all over the world. She spent thirteen years on the road, five of those with her oldest son, Indy. She backpacked with her blended family of four sons. As of 2018 she is on an open-ended adventure with her 14-year-old son, Raffy, as she worldschools him.
She was the director of the children’s travel publishing company Itchee Feet, which supplied books and content to travel companies including Virgin Australia. The NSW Minister for Small Business applauded Itchee Feet saying “Itchee Feet is an outstanding example of clever products being developed here in NSW that have a unique attraction and export potential.”

Jane is a regular on radio, talking family travel on Radio National Life Matters, Dubai Eye, Travel Radio, 96.5 Family FM and Kinderling Radio. She has written for brands such as Choice Hotels and freelance travel pieces for The Telegraph, The Courier Mail, Sunday Telegraph/Sunday Magazine, The Sydney Morning Herald, Northern Star, Marie Claire, New Woman, and Wanderlust. She was a columnist for Punto! Kids magazine in Japan.
